Today, a delegation of more than 25 entrepreneurs and government representatives from Bonaire departs for Agroalimentaria 2025—the Caribbean’s premier agro-industry trade fair, held in Santo Domingo from May 28 to 31.
The Bonairean delegation includes professionals from agriculture, livestock, import/export, and construction sectors. They’re joined by staff from the Island’s Department of Economic Affairs, Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, along with members of the Island Council.
The four-day mission is designed to open new business opportunities and foster strategic partnerships across the region. In addition to participating in the trade fair, the group will visit wholesale suppliers of construction materials and processing facilities for cacao and food products. Meetings are also scheduled with the Dutch Embassy and potential trade partners.
Building Regional Connections, Driving Local Growth
Commissioner Clark Abraham emphasizes the value of this trade mission:
“These types of exchanges are essential for creating new opportunities. By helping our entrepreneurs connect with innovative partners and expanding markets, we’re investing in the future of Bonaire’s economy.”
The Public Entity of Bonaire is providing financial support to participating businesses to ensure broad access and impact.
