Through new images and stories, the Nos ta biba di naturalesa campaign invites people to take a closer look at Bonaire’s nature and at the changes becoming visible across the island.
The campaign features familiar places. Places residents pass every day, walk through, work in, or visit in their free time. These locations show how human activity and natural processes shape the landscape over time. Not all at once, but little by little.
But change is only part of the story.
Every day, people across Bonaire are working to protect, restore, and strengthen the island’s natural environment. Organizations, volunteers, and residents are helping restore coral reefs, strengthen mangrove ecosystems, grow native plants, and protect the sabal palm, which grows naturally in the wild only on Bonaire.
Over the coming months, the campaign will share more of these stories. Through videos, photography, and online features, people will be able to see what is changing and what is already being done to protect Bonaire’s nature for the future.
Much of what makes Bonaire special can feel permanent simply because it has always been there. This campaign invites people to look at their surroundings with fresh eyes. To notice what is changing, and to recognize the work happening every day to protect Bonaire’s nature and environment for future generations.
