NTBDN campaign highlights what we pass on in Bonaire

On Bonaire, some places are still here. Not by chance, but because people chose, time and again, to keep them. The campaign “Nos ta biba di naturalesa” centers on what we pass on to the next generation.

You see it in Fontein, where water has been used for generations and still matters today. You see it in the landscape, where paths and patterns reflect how people and nature exist side by side. And along the coast, where wind and sea continue to shape the island, just as they always have. What we see today comes from choices made before us.

Those same choices are ours now. In how we deal with waste. In where and how we build. In how we treat land, wildlife, and water. It happens every day, often without us noticing. That is what makes it immediate. What we do today decides what remains tomorrow. Which places stay the way we know them. What can still be used. And what disappears if we do not protect it.

Visible across the island and online
The campaign runs on digital screens, social media, and local media outlets. The visuals show familiar places and make clear what remains, and what could be lost.
