Bonaire will take part in Earth Hour this Saturday, March 28. From 8:30 to 9:30 PM, public lighting will be turned off in and around Wilhelmina Square, as well as parts of Kaya Grandi and Kaya N.E. Craane. The dome lighting will also be temporarily switched off.
With this action, Bonaire joins millions of people and organizations around the world who turn off their lights for one hour. It is a visible signal of support for the planet and the protection of nature.
The Public Entity of Bonaire (OLB) invites residents, businesses, and organizations to take part. Turn off non-essential lights at home, at work, or in your neighborhood. Show that Bonaire stands together for a more sustainable future. Our island, our responsibility.
Tourism Corporation Bonaire is also supporting the initiative by switching off the lights at its office.
